The Colonial Inn is both deeply honored and tremendously proud to have launched The Colonial Inn Art Initiative. This project brings local art from Hillsborough and the surrounding areas into the guest rooms of the inn. These artists and their pieces have been meticulously chosen to showcase some of the most talented and beautiful work from this truly inspired art-focused town. To remain consistent with the essence of the inn, the pieces were chosen specifically as a reflection of The Colonial Inn’s mission and vision as well as a diligent focus on history, Hillsborough and Nature. 

This initiative was created as a win-win scenario. Win One: The art is hung and available for sale at the inn with 100% of every sale being given directly back to the artist, so when you purchase a piece, you can rest assured you are supporting local artists to the fullest extent possible. Win Two: The art provides dynamic and interesting allure that make each and every room unique, giving guests an experience that cannot be matched. This art is optionally rotated every 6 months and has an ongoing revolving door for different artists to display their works and breathe new life into each curated space.
